BlackBerry 8350i OtterBox Case Released

he latest indoctrinee to OtterBox’s Defender Series is the push-to-talk BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve 8350i, currently available on Sprint (NYSE: S). The protection offered by OtterBox seems like overkill for most consumer phones, but the iDEN-capable Curve is geared specifically for rough environments - PTT is used regularly in construction and shipping where instant communication is a daily necessity. At CES we also saw some prototype cases for the BlackBerry Storm and 8700, which we’ll likely see sooner than later. Research In Motion’s (RIM) at CES 2009 has bring the new eye catching product “Blackberry Bluetooth Visor Mount”. In CES 2009 where almost all the companies present the show specifically focusing their devices this product from RIM was a pleasant surpise., applications and services on display-stay tuned to the Mobile WorkHorse blog for more details–one product in particular caught my eye: The as-of-yet unreleased "Blackberry Bluetooth Visor Mount."

There aren’t too many details available on the new RIM offering, which clips onto your vehicle’s visor-in fact, it doesn’t even have an official name yet, hence the quotations in the last paragraph. But it’s expected to become available during the first of half 2009, according to Tenille Kennedy, the RIM PR representative who conducted my booth tour. The BlackBerry Bluetooth Visor Mount is similar to existing in-car Bluetooth speaker phones, but it also lets you stream music from your BlackBerry device to a vehicle’s stereo system via an FM frequency. Facebook Ver 1.5 Expected In January O9 For BlackBerry!!

Interesting news for all Facebook users, Facebook version 1.5 is expected in this january 09 for Blackberry application. As we hope facebook 1.5 has a lot of cool features including the ability to invite and accept friend requests, upload pictures on-the-go, and live status updates for all of the friends on your list.

Facebook for BlackBerry version 1.5 is due out in the first month of 2009, and with it comes a whole whack of new features including deeper integration with Facebook and more. New features in Facebook 1.5 for BlackBerry include:
* Access & Manage Facebook Phone Book - view friends phone numbers, request friends phone numbers, publish your phone number and even add numbers to your BlackBerry address book.
* New Account Creation - create a new Facebook account directly from your BlackBerry.
* Facebook Birthday & BlackBerry Calendar Link - automatically import & link friends birthdays to your BlackBerry Calendar.
* Facebook Event Calendar & Blackberry Calendar Link - save Facebook events into your BlackBerry Calendar. Facebook events will be a different color and an event reminder notification can even be set up.
If this wasn’t enough good news, Facebook 2.0 for BlackBerry is in the works for later in 2009.
